We’re in the Dicken’s Store

Happy holidays all-

Just wanted to take a second to let everyone know that we are available to help you with your holiday chainmail needs.  We are in all three of the Dicken’s Stores this year.  The Aspen Grove shopping center in Littleton, CO has a store, Flatirons Mall in Broomfield, CO has an outlet and a store is on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, CO across from Peppercorns.  We are also available on line at our website www.polyspleasures.com.  We are working on getting a better web site but for now it does show many of the things we can do.  If you have a custom piece you would like to get made for that someone special just drop us a line and we will be happy to help you make it a reality.  All three of the stores open bright and early on the morning of Nov 9, 2011.  Hope to see you all soon.

Come see us at Poly Living

We will be presenting a class on writing alternative romance for the mainstream publisher this weekend at the Poly Living Conference here in Denver.  The conference will be held on Saturday the 27th and our class is scheduled to be held from 4 PM to 5:30 PM.  We will have copies of kasi’s new novel, Becoming Sage  available during the conference and she would love to autograph your copy for you as well as give you one of the commemorative bookmarks with collectible chainmail key chain when you purchase your copy.

If you came out and saw us last weekend at the Rocky Mountain Bead Society show at the Merchandise Mart here in Denver, thank you it was great seeing you.  We taught three classes on chainmail construction and had a good time as always. 

After this weekend, we won’t be out on the road again until the end of May at the Northwest Leather Fest in San Jose, CA.  We will be taking some time during our down time to work on the web site so if you have any suggestions on how to make it more user-friendly please drop us a line with your suggestion.  If we use your suggestion I will personally send you a little something in thanks.

April’s news

Hello all, sorry it’s been a bit but it has been a busy few weeks.  We met a lot of great people and had a wonderful time in Portland at Kinkfest.  They held it this year in the Oregon Convention Center which is huge and beautiful.  If you have not had the opportunity to go, do yourself a favor and make it happen next year, it is a premier event.

This month we are teaching a couple of classes on creating chainmail at the Rocky Mountain Bead Bazaar April 16-17 th.  This event is held at the Merchandise Mart on 58th and I-25 here in Denver and is a huge bead, gem and jewelry show.  So if that is your thing this is the event to hit.  Stop by and say hi, or take one of the classes and make your own piece.

We were just notified of a couple of new event that we have been accepted to that I would like to share with you.  On May 27 th we will be a part of Pitch Black 2011 at the Rockstar lounge here in Denver.  It will be a concert and fashion show featuring some of the most stunning chainmail outfits and gorgeous models you have ever seen.  It is always a good time so please come join us if you are in the area.  The other new show for us this year is TESSFest across the 4th of July weekend.  It is reported to be a great show and is held in New Jersey.  I will post more information about both of these shows as the time approaches.  One other show I want to mention is that we have been accepted to vend at Thunder in the Mountains again this year which we couldn’t be happier about.  Again, if you have never been do yourself a favor and go this year.  It is July 8-11 here in Denver, a great time is always had by all.

Last but hardly least, our girl kasi has her new novel coming out April 12th, 2011.  So in just a few short days “Becoming sage” will be available at Amazon, Barns and Noble, Omnific Publishing, CoffeeTimeRomance.com, AllRomanceBooks.com and a number of other places including www.kasialexander.com of course.  Be sure to check her out on goodreads, face book, twitter and her blog for free give aways of the book.

March’s Happenings

Thank you to all those who came out and saw us in Dallas at the South Plains Leather Fest.  We had a great time and appreciate the organizers for allowing us to come out again this year.  As always the show was a lot of fun and the chance to see old friends is always appreciated.

Our next event is Kinkfest in Portland, Oregon from March 18th to 2oth.  This is another great show and if you have any chance at all to go, do yourself a favor and do so.  This will be the 12th year of the show and our second.  They have more than 50 classes by top presenters and more than 30 vendors.  They also have what in my opinion is one of the  best dungeon play spaces we have seen in our travels.  Definitely in the top two play spaces.

Finally, we will be presenting a class at the Poly Living Conference here in Denver on April  23rd.  The class will be on writing kink for the vanilla publisher and a member of Omnific Publishing will also be presenting with us.  She is a fantastic resource for marketing in the publishing world and very nice so don’t miss the class if you can help it.  kasi’s book hits the market on April 19th and we have a cover now, very exciting.  We hope to see you all at Kinkfest in Oregon or the Poly Living Conference here in Denver.

Valentine update and next show

Well the weather in Hollywood was fantastic last weekend and the My Kinky Valentine show at the Threshold Club was awesome.  We met a lot of really nice people and made some new friends.  Thank you to Myst for inviting us, we had a great time and look forward to the next event out in sunny California.

Our next show is this upsoming weekend (February 25-27) in Dallas, Texas and is called South Plains Leather Fest.  this will be our third year vending at this show.  It is a lot of fun, if you are in the area stop by and look us up.  We have a new top design which we are calling the Arrowhead top and it is sexy.  I have posted a pic of it below.  We are also looking forward to meeting with the owner of Omnific Publishing who is publishing our book, it comes out in April.  If you are looking for a fantastic publishing company to submit your romance story to or to check out some great romance authors you should check them out.  Hope to see you all next weekend in Dallas.

My Kinky Valentine

Hey all-  Just a quick note to remind everyone that we will be in North Hollywood this Saturday, February 12th, 2011 at The Threshold Club.  We will be vending there for the 4th Annual My Kinky Valentine winter vendors fair.  Stop by and say hello and maybe pick up the little special something for your sweetheart or hearts depending on how lucky you are. 

 We will also have the promotional cards for our girl’s new book being published by Omnific Publishing.  It is called Becoming sage and will hit the store shelves April 19th.  It is a poly, M/s, BDSM love story following sage as she joins a couple and their exploration of power exchange and the BDSM lifestyle while engaged in a poly triad.  It is a realistic story and in my opinion, quite good.  She writes under the name kasi alexander and you can follow her updates on wordpress or facebook.

Hello All -

We have finally joined the blogging world.  We would like to welcome you to our new site and encourage you to stop back by often to see where we will be that week, what new goodies we have made and who is wearing our pieces. 

If you are new to Poly’s Pleasures let us introduce ourselves.  We are a family owned and operated custom chainmail operation.  Our home base is in the Denver, Colorado area but we frequently travel the country from coast to coast vending at shows and meeting our customers.  We have a full line of traditional chainmail jewelry but specialize in fetish and pride jewelry, clothing and accessories.  We love to work with people on that special one of a kind piece or matching set in your family’s colors.

If you have never had the opportunity to try on any of our clothing you will be pleasantly suprised.  We create our clothing using a combination of  anodized aluminum and EPDM rubber.  This  construction style allows our clothing to weigh almost nothing.  It is not uncommon for our tops to have the same weight of a normal T-shirt.  We are very particular regarding the closures on our rings so you won’t feel any scratching or have your hair pulled, unless you are into that , lol.  In short, you will look and feel sexy without the weight of traditional mail.
